Recordable works without root but you have to enable usb debugging on your device and every time you restart your phone you have to connect it to your computer and run a script.

The only app that worked without root or PC so far on my Note 3 is Mobizen because these app has plugins for the most common vendors. The only problem with it is that you get a watermark and there is no paid app to remove it. So if you are onpy doing a few videos for your clan no problem, but useless for real Youtube videos.
