Went from gold to master to champion in three days. I'm a maxxed TH9 with 5/250 lavas and 15/15 heroes. I really want to upgrade my heroes, but 3000 gems will only give me 100k DE and let me upgrade my hero once. It doesn't feel worth it after all the hard pushing that I've done to get to champion.
Is it more wise of me to boost my DE drills instead? Or is it better to upgrade my heroes by directly buying DE?
What did you spend it on when you completed those achievements?
Never directly buy resources. Spend your gems on boosting barracks and spell factory and go raiding for that DE. It is more fun and efficientOriginally Posted by PTran5

Forget about gemming time or resources with just 3K gems which are nearly nothing. Use them to boost your barracks instead.

Boost and raid.
Ive never boosted pumps and mines but I've definitely boosted DE drills! That's also a good idea.
Go to th10,and spend your gems on getting the inferno towers and spell factory upgrade.heroes can weight.
P.S if you really want to do the heroes,boost the barracks and queen,use the healer queen, works pretty well
I have around 4500 gems but just never feel like using them on anything really..
But best use would be to lock yourself in a room for two hours, boost barracks, heroes, SF and go ham on attack!
Level 120 Maxed TH 9, 250 Lavas. Currently grinding heroes.
3000 is a ton of gems, and this is coming from someone who has an almost max TH10 base. Boost whenever you can comfortably farm for 2h, I would actually stay at TH9 and farm those lavas & heroes. 3000 gems won't get you there, but boosting is the best value for your buck and there is no better TH to boost than TH9.
PS: It's tempting to wake up heroes for war or gem the last day of an upgrade, but it really isn't worth it. Unless you want to spend some of your own money.

Well, if you don't have five builders, get them all. Otherwise, be the guy everyone loves in your clan by boosting barracks and handing out free troops, e.g. wizards. DO NOT buy resources directly, but instead boost your barracks, royals, spell factory so that you can go and have fun by raiding people.
Hard truth: boosting barracks is the only intelligent way of spending gems. Period!
Boost rax and DE drills every day, use super queen method or bam/gibarch if you want to upgrade your queen a lot
We told one of our newer members to lightning the cc....He dropped a lightning spell on the actual cc - no luring the troops or anything. Guess we should have been more specific...
