Balancing Clash with Real Life?

I've finished school this year but last months was when I started clashing

Well I take into consideration from May onwards when I actively raided.

Break shield at around 9 PM, raid a bit, go off around 10something PM, get an (hopeful) 12h shield, go to sleep
Wake up at 6something, collect resources, go to school by 8 AM
Notification when shield is running out, collect resources
Start upgrades if appliable
Get attacked again, hope for snipe
Come back home from school, some raiding
Homework
More raids if not too late
Dinner
Repeat

Things may be different if I had to go out obviously, this would apply to totally free days

I often raided during classes I didnt care about. The fact that at least other 6/7 people in my class played clash too and we made a clan for us made it funnier (requesting troops by voice or plan war attacks and so on )

Trying to balance Clash with real life has been challenging for me. I've decided that real life takes priority over COC- even though there are still days when I get booted for being online too long

That being said, figure out what's important to you. For example, I love mountain biking and riding trails. Most days, I go for my ride and bust my hump first. When I get home, I have COC running and click on my villages in between reading and watching videos about biking. When it's time to raid, I raid and get back to biking stuff. Same thing if I'm reading or writing for work- COC can run in the background. If I miss a click and my village goes offline, I've learned that this is OK- I've usually raided enough to cover any losses. If not, there's always tomorrow.

In the end, if I make enough to upgrade a few walls and save for another big upgrade, it's been a successful day. Plus, real life stuff (the really important stuff) gets done in the meantime.
