(TH8) Planning to push to masters for the 1k Gems

I already have 1k gems in inventory from cutting down sprouts plus other achievements. So I need the other 1k to get that 5th builder. Here's my current army:
Barb and Archers lv5
Goblin lv3
Giants lv4
Balloons lv4
Wizards lv4
Healer lv1
Minions lv1
Hogs lv2
Valk lv1
Golem lv1
Heal, Rage, Lightning lv4
Poison and Earthquake lv1
Barb King lv8

Currently upgrading hogs to lv3 but will take 9 more days. I have no Pekka yet but I like GoWiVa a lot more. Which army should I use per league?

I am thinking to barch/BAM on Gold, Hog on Crystal 3 and 2, and Dragons and minions on Crystal 1. What do you guys think?

Focus on raiding for loot right now. You have TH7 level troops still, what's the point of pushing, when you have so much to do?

I would recommend getting to Crystal 2 first, using BAM. There is a lot of loot there. Then you can upgrade your troops for when you are using the hog, and minion and dragon attacks later.

Barch looks like the only way. Look for snipes and easy 50% bases.

You mean dead there's a lot of dead bases or collector raids in crystal?

I did it at TH7 100% sniping
Took me 10 or so days starting from Silver
4 hrs a day, 2x 2hr sessions, each session from Crystal 2 onwards gave me at least around 50 trophies
I always trained only BAM
TH outside all the way, I never ever got more than sniped (even by TH9 and 10s). Lots of snipes also -1, -2 or so

Pretty boring but at least I got my 5th builder before reaching TH8

So... from what I've seen, a lot of semi-rushed town halls that just snipe their way up ridiculous high in cups have incomprehensible amounts of loot. I'm in Champ 1 as a th9 and see some th9's and even a th8 or two on my league page, and while some of them are low level they are usually fully maxed on loot and have all heroes upgrading constantly. I've seen low level th8's who have th7 defs still but full skulls because they get so much gold from sniping they can't dump it all into defs. I can say myself as a th9 that I'm getting quite a good bit of loot up here, the DE in particular is mad.

Just barched up to M3, took about 10-12hrs of game time, from Crystal 2. Had some heavy trophy loss, faild a few 50%
But MysteriousR won't have much more options, than sniping and some 50%s, take some time and climb.
At Crystal 1 I started building strong troops over night and longer brakes, just to speed up a bit.

A clanmate just pushed with Dragons and GoWiVa, and keeps pushing...
