I would say the attacker simply sucked. This is not a very rare thing. I had a max th10 attacking my th9 base in cw. He thought he will go for 3 stars with all witches. He deployed his witches all in one spot and they ran into my outer layer where the double bomb spot for hogs is. Well you can imagine the rest. Was about 15% in the end.

One attack in war i had only one dragon remaining against a level 5 air defence and a few buildings and got 3 stars

Visited a serious war clan to learn some tactics and do a few wars with them. I moved some stuff around with clash with cam's th8 base to make it harder to hog (which apparently scared the other team into using dragons and gowipe). After 2 dragon fails, the most they had gotten was 50% which, wasn't enough to reveal the 2 corner teslas. So when a more advanced th8 tried a gowipe, he ended up with a 99%. (The king was literally one swipe away from the 3 star) they ended up wasting one of their th9 attacks to finally take this base down.

Luckiest moment was probably actually the 10 minutes last week where I scored 14k DE from 3 huge consecutive raids. That's up there in the top with the occasional clutch queen action, when she isn't just being stupid and wandering around the base.

Well i use an anti-3 base with the TH side heavily fortified with high HP storages and lots of point defenses (inspired by chiefdart) and he went for the town hall side like planned and those pekkas just didn't have enough juice after pushing through there to get the 3.

I'm sure he also wasn't the best attacker, if he knew what he was doing he would have gone opposite the town hall.

Just yesterday I was hitting a base in war, and I got my third star with less than a second left. I held on to two wallbreakers during the raid just in case, and I used them right at the end to open up the final enclosure to get the third star! Clutch wallbreakers

Of course when you fine 600+ on each side its a beautiful thing. ive seen 900 plus both sides with 9k de....took 75 percent of it all. But my lucky moment was when we was down two stars in war, I had an attack and my lowest member in war had 1. he couldnt do any but we needed two to win. everyone was two starred except number 1. 1 star only on him and he was a mid max th10. Im maxed defense th9 and i did a gowiwi with a pekka in cc. pekka funneled in middle and it was one of those tic tac toe type base layouts. my witches skeletons triggered every bomb and trap before my mains got to them and it was a last 10 second 3 star and got the two stars to take the lead and win. mill war loot too! had my whole clan on watching cause it came down to me waiting for last 5-7 minutes to go in.

My alt TH8 account (low TH8, near the bottom of war map) having 25 attacks on it over 4 wars, and not being 3*ed. Massively anti-drag base, hogs and gowipe run out of time
