how do clans expect people to be maxed

i have seen a few clans that require town halls 8-10 but everything maxed for that town hall level, doesnt that mean its time to move on?

They usually mean not rushed. If you're looking at a clan that says max TH9, they either mean maxed troops or non rushed, aka you maxed TH8.

I think it's just a figure of speech. I don't think that if you don't have your mortars maxed, they would say "sorry, you cannot stay you are not maxed base". By maxed, I think they are actually asking for well developed bases.

I can't speak of other clans, but we look for people who can compete in war at their level. If they are rushed and have poor troops at their TH level.... we tend to say no thanks.

They dont want players that move on when being maxed but players that are happy with their th level and stay that way. I do that with every account except my main account. If Indecide to move on I try to get up fast and stay that way again.

Yes that👆. Everyone would always move up when they were ready (or far before that sometimes).

Now with war, see more people hanging around maxing fully, and having a mess around in war.

When accepting people to my clan, I look at offense only. I would take a TH9 that has 20+ heroes, maxed troops and no xbows with TH8 level defense any day, over a Maxed D TH9 with level 10 heroes and lower level troops.

I used to think you need to max everything, but offense is so much better than defense in this game. Maxing actually hurts you in war, but it's much better if raiding is your thing.

Yeah, I see what the OP is saying here but would largely agree with the replies so far. Basically, they want non-rushed and reasonably well upgraded bases, not necessarily fully maxed out. Except for the clans that do want fully maxed out th10's, that's a different question.

100% agree with this. I learned the game from people on the game who always told me defense was more important to max than anything. Now I feel exactly the same way you do!

If you're a th9 and have xbows but dont have at least 1 war troop maxed (loons, hogs, witches, valks, golems, hounds) then that lets people know you're not very serious about war.

That is why we don't accept maxer in our clan, especially TH10 with lv2-3 infernoes but only lv5 war troops and 220 camps space.
