    Some recruiting advice please

So my husband and I started a new clan (Fury's Elite) a few weeks ago (04/07/15) and iv tried posting a recruiting thread in the recruiting section and bumping it a few times a week but we havnt got anyone from that so the members we have got are from global and I havnt found any adults or mature players. What I'd like to know is what am I doing wrong? We just want some active adult players. If you guys could post a comment and tell me what I'm doing wrong or what I could be doing that would be awesome.
    thanks in advance JL395

It's just time and hard work..You have to wade through a lot of muppets but if you keep the recruiting thread going and keep busy on the global circus you will eventually find some decent players. Once you get a few war wins under your belt and level up the clan that will help too.
Personally I have considered doing this recently but to be honest staying in a well established, well run clan was by far the better option for me than the grind of starting a clan again.

    1) Don't start a clan. It's a lot of freaking work.
    2) You can't start a clan with two members. No one is going to join.

On the forums, if you want to have success in recruiting new members, you need to make your topic look appealing. Is this your thread (link)? If that's it, then you need to organise it better and give more information about it.
    Some comments:
    - Add a banner with the clan decription, war wins, pretty much a cropped screenshot of the clan menu.
    - Organise your information better inside the topic, not in one long paragraph but divide it so it's easier to read and understand.
    - People care about the first impression when they check a thread so make it look appealing. I see that your topic has 100 views so people obviously checked it, but skipped it.
    - If your war log has more wins than loses, then you can also attach an image of it.
    - Make the recruitment information better to be seen, split it into its own paragraph and list all the requirements.
    - Read the sticky threads from there: [Tips] How to make a clan recruitment thread, professionally.

After the clan perks update, most players don't want to join lvl1/2 clans.
I said so when the update dropped that it would be more difficult for new clans to thrive.

Good luck. War as much as possible. Stay active as much as possible.
Global can be an effective way to recruit, you just need to weed through the immature hoppers.

Just go. kids are asking for *** in global and for GFs everyday.
Not all of them. Just because some kids do bad things doesn't make your comment appropriate and mature.

I started a clan by myself, so far we do 10v10 wars.
Although, we have not won a war... YET! We keep getting mismatches!

MrV hit most of the important points. I would add, you do need to know what you want out of the clan. Getting kids in with lower THs will yield nuggets over time. There are some pretty awesome kids and teenagers out there. My wife and I have started two clans. First time around, it was easier, that was done pre-clan wars. That clan is still going strong, we just wanted to go in a new direction. The newer clan is designed to build lower level folks with good troops and good advice. Patience is necessary right now to get a new clan going. Best wishes.
