The thing with minions is that air bombs and multi target inferno towers decimate them with ease

True... But I think in other similar cases within the game this doesn't happen. Air skeleton traps don't emerge against ground troops like archers and wizards even though they could serve as a distraction. Ground skeleton traps don't emerge against air troops. I just think based on game mechanics the witch shouldn't decide to summon ground skeletons until they have something to attack, especially if they just stand in the same place.

I guess I'll just stick with my strategy and work on upgrading the dark elixir spell factory so I can hold more poison spells, and hope that they help us dragon users out in the future.

LOL, are you gemmed or just new?

That's NOTHING compared to watching dragons chase around the defending barbarian king while air defenses pummel them ruthlessly for up to 30 seconds. You'd know this if you used dragons at TH8, they attack (and will stop to attack) defensive troops on the ground whether they've engaged any of your troops or not.

As others suggested, use your poison spell for that. I'd never waste a poison spell on taking out CC wizards against dragons (heck, there's not much an enemy could put in a CC that would make me worry about it with an all dragon raid). The dragons splash damage usually sorts them out within a couple seconds and usually in one go (if you're really lucky, they'll even lure your troops in closer towards the core before they die: double win!).

Anyways, it's normal. It makes sense. And it happens with defending heroes too (and has for as long as I've played). You need to adjust your strategy and don't waste a perfectly good poison spell on troops that won't do a whole lot of damage to your dragons before they die.

I'm ok with dragon targeting skeletons.

Max castle = 35, witch = 12, so basically witch plus 5 wiz can be stored in there. Just be a little more patient and lure them all out, then send them back where they came from with a poison spell.

Don't mix dragon and ground troops. Any th8 would know that. Kind of a nooby mistake.

This I agree and has logic... Witch shouldn't summon GROUND skeletons until they have GROUND enemy attacker...Which the thread starter dismay when his dragon keep killing all the witch skele if I'm correct his quote" only to watch my dragons attack skeletons produced by a witch for a total of 10 seconds"

NOT unless your heroes were also attacking....which is why the summoning was

But you do know that you can hold up to 11 poison spells at whatever lvl of DE spell factory. So you can take 2 poison spell and 1 haste. So you will not sacrifice full rage but rather half of its effect. Good luck

This is like the Pekka vs. Skeleton traps-discussion when they were introduced.

If those skeletons had been destroying your ground troops you'd be on here complaining that your dragons ignored them. In one attack yesterday my queen decided to continue firing at a building whilst under attack herself. It was annoying at first, but thinking about it, if that building had been the 1% needed for a 50% win I'd have been happy she did. In almost all complaint situations if you think for a minute you will see there can be times when what you think isn't right can actually work in your favour.
