How do you afford to climb trophies?

My secret is raiding like a ♥♥♥♥ and leaving my town hall outside so I get sniped. No loot losses, no rearm cost, no def wins but it all evens out in the end.

This is what I've been doing.

I had got to master 1 and I kept townhall in for a while if I was staying on and put it outside once I finished for a quick snipe. I didnt get hit much but I won alot of defenses lost only snipes of course and maybe 2-3 defenses I lost. I make up for it with the loot bonus but Id search for like...80/80k and higher...the 250k bonus helped out alot too. Id love finding 150/150 area and then add my 250. Was awesome. But I kept getting a ton of really low loot offers and I had alot of builders avail so I dropped to loot in gold.

I just broke my shield for a few attacks in M3 a few minutes ago. I got 2 snipes and 1 dead base for a combined 17 trophies then logged off for a loss of 4. So in total 13 trophy gain for 15 mins of game play. That outcome has pretty much been consistent for me the last day and a half since I've only had time for short raid sessions. I'm at 2700 and still moving up.

Fill your storages before you start a big trophy push.

A lot of people are willing to lose some resources on defense for the trophies. A maxed townhall 10 is rarely ever three starred so it's not like they are losing all of their loot. On top of that they have nothing to spend their money on. Often they have maxed collectors and storages.

I usually farm until my resources are full before I make a push. Easier to maintain funds when you have more to start!

I do the exact opposite.

If my loot is low, then I can leave my TH inside, and most "attacks" will be from people dropping trophies. Though that is as a TH9, nt8.

When I made a push for masters a few weeks ago (for the gems, I didn't stay there), I gained at least as many trophies overnight by that sort of attack on me as I did by attacking myself.

But I never had more than about 700K in either lix or gold during that push, which made it not worthwhile people attacking me for loot.

I'm a TH9 in champion league and I've actually managed to win 8 defences so far this season. Maybe it's or something to do with the increased HP on some buildings but I haven't got anywhere near that in previous seasons.

I've been to 3800+ with my TH out... You don't get trophies by defense, but by attacking. I prefer to keep my TH out, get a -1tr snipeand not lose my loot, than keeping my TH in, hoping for a good def, and leave my base available for the guy who really feel confident raiding it, will give me 2*, take more trophies and big loot with it.

Regarding resources, never had any issue with that. I was still working on my walls while rushing. It's only a matter of raiding bases with decent trophies and decent loot at the same time... With my gowiwi, I was able to defeat almost any base, so why go for the ones with small loot when the next one might have 400k+. Might change up in Titan tough when you are in clouds for one hour, but that didn't happen to me even at 3800.
