How do people afford to climb up leagues with their TH inside?

I can defend against some attacks pretty well (mid th10) but if someone attacks my base, it costs so much to re-arm everything.

What's the secret to continue to build and climb trophies?

Money. It's earnt by getting a good job and knowing your stuff when you were in school. Then you get paid, and then you spend it on the game called Clash of clans.

Maybe doing some attacking of your own? You can't just rely on mines and collectors... also some people just don't re arm certain traps.

No one ever said you had to re-arm your traps. That being said I don't believe there is a "secret" per se. Upgrade your defense, make it harder to get to your resources. Don't break shield unless you are going to raid for little while.

Keep TH out and traps in. Never understood point of TH in, especially from masters up where the bonus means you're almost certainly only be sniped.

I'm TH9 attempting to climb up in masters right now. It is way too painful to keep your TH inside. I tried it and even with max defenses I can pretty much count on being 2 starred by some TH10 everytime I log out. If you aren't a TH10 don't try climbing up on defense. That won't work above crystal. Leave that TH outside and go win some attacks instead.

I'm a mid-level TH10 and I have just been building lavaloonion attacks to climb up, put my TH outside and so forth.

Every time my troops/spells are done, i break my shield, repeat.

I'm just going through the cycle of enemies and seeing all these people with their TH in. Just curious how they were doing it.

Strong bases, high walls deter many others. Oh, if you also use your loot and don't have much to give away, most won't attack you. I'm not even going to barch someone with less than 150k of each with the th inside.

I usually farm until my resources are full before I make a push. Easier to maintain funds when you have more to start!

My secret is raiding like a ♥♥♥♥ and leaving my town hall outside so I get sniped. No loot losses, no rearm cost, no def wins but it all evens out in the end.
