Hello! I am a TH8 soon to be max, all I have left to upgrade are teslas and all my walls to level 8. I have been struggling to find a loot range which works well, and is consistent. I want a loot range which offers a good amount of collector raids, and overall easy storage raids. I have Level 5 Barch, and I am in Gold II sitting at 1682 trophies. Please post your suggestions and attack logs if possible. Thank you!
Way back when, I'm my the days (keep in mind pre update) i lived in silver 1, thats why my gold grab looks the way it does, though like i said, may not be the same now

So to be honest, as TH8 I'd say mid Crystal 2 is highest you can go - beyond TH9s will just crush you.
I've been about 90% of TH8 time in Crystal 3, did very well up there, all workers been busy (if I didn't forgot em...), had a very good income.
The thing about higher leagues, some people forget about: the bonus.
An example:
Silver 1 bonus: 3k gold/elexier, 0 DE
Crystal 3 bonus: 35k gold/elexier, 100 DE
Lets say you find a 300k / 1500 DE raid in silver, many people are very very happy with that.
BUT, I found a lot 250k / 1500 DE raids in Crystal 3, and been sniping between full raids, just do the math about the better income.
Also with an exposed TH many will just take it for league bonus and many will ignore the high loot possible, good income, nearly no costs.
No reason to snipe on lower leagues to me, so people always look for high loot.
Ok, one thing about the lower leagues, there are many more people in there, so you can 'hide' in the mass. maybe.
I am a TH8 and I am just slightly behind your position. I find it great for loot in Crystal 2. There are a lot of abandoned villages here, as well as the odd town hall out. This is good as there is also a 50K gold and elixir, 200 dark elixir bonus. Makes it very worth attacking the town halls at the edge and is a nice bonus on top of larger raids.

Gold 3 has been really good this last 4-5 weeks. Working on walls. Usually raid about 3 million a session.
