With the above (11 level 4 drags and 4 level 5 Rage), what's the opinion, given proper deployment funnelling right etc. etc. Should this 3 star a th9 with 4 level 5 AD? Cheers.

There is no telling if it will work or not, unless we can see the base. It might work on some bases, while on some it might fail. Anyway, personally, I rarely saw dragons 3 starring th9 bases. Those just upgraded from th8 bases maybe, but latter ones rarely.

Level 5 ADs are far from max for TH9. It comes down to how good you are flying dragons. I been in clans with several dragon whispers that could easily fly that. I've also had clanmates that could not. Layout and what you need in the cc will vary. Happy hunting!

Depends on the rest of the defences, like xbows, archer towers, wizard towers, even though their damage may seem insignificant every little bit adds up, I would probably replace 1-2 rage with heals or experiment with heal and haste, you could probably run something like 5 haste and 2 heal or 3 heal and 3 haste.
It will depend very much on the layout.
If the ADs are all placed so that you can't get to them without passing in-range storages first, it won't be easy, even with lvl 5 ADs.
But if they are reasonably accessible, and archer towers/teslas aren't maxed, then probably.
Last war a th9 attacked me with this combo
11 lvl4 drags and 4 lvl5 rages + one lvl5 drag in cc.
He end up 70% one star.
I have 2 lvl7 ad + 2 lvl6 ad but honestly he could not even close to my Th.
Imo with a good design (centralize ad) 12 drags cannot 2 star a th9 even with lvl5 ad.
3 star is impossible unless ad are expose.
It depends on the enemy village layout, and the air mines, tesla and archer tower level. Even the WT do minor continuous damage.
AD L5 - really depends on funneling and dragons go sideways/shopping.
Theoretically, I give a 30% chance of 3 starring without knowledge on the layout and other defenses level.
I have some clanmates doing this, most of the time getting 1-2 stars.

If you mix them with like 10 - 16 balloons then I would say most probably yes. I have used lvl3 dragons with 16 balloons, 2 rage & 2 heal & heroes to 3 star maxed th9. But after all this all depends on design. It seems this th9 is really rushed so as primary answer I would say yes but posting an image will make it easier to give a sure answer

it depends on the layout and I would suggest using some balloons I use 7 drags lvl 4 and 22 balloons lvl 61 drag and 2 balloons are in the clan castle haven't had an attack against a th 9 yet as my last war had none and it was my 1st time using lvl 4 drags my current war has them I did 2 star there no 2 a th 10 though so they do work just need to funel right drop 2 on the sides and then spam the middle of the 2 drags dropped then let the lons loose have 3 rages and 3 hastes and it should do well
