Clan Hoppers and "The Scarlet H"

I have been having this problem with clan hoppers who join for a few days, wait for war to start with them in it, and then hop to a new clan. After careful consideration, and discussions with fellow clan Chiefs, I have come up with the idea of "The Scarlet H." The basic idea is that a hopper is punished and shamed for a behavior that affects clan morale. If a player hops during war and does not return for their two attacks, then a large, red H appears with their name. There is no other punishment then this, just a letter that automatically appears and never leaves. This way, clan leaders know when they are putting hoppers in war. This way, clan recruiters know when a hopper is coming into their clan. This way everyone knows a hopper, because they can be seen.

I want to stress that no other element of game play is disrupted, no resources are lost or given, and the only thing that happens is that hoppers get labeled. Plus, they are only labeled by the game system if they (a) leave a clan, and (b) don't return to that clan by the end of war.

They should have to live with their shame for all others to see for the remainder of their clan days. Clash on, brothers and sisters!

    This isn't a good idea.

So basically if you hopped even once, then you're hopper for life, because you get "branded" by a red H. This will make him/her impossible to have a normal clash life, even if they reflect on their actions later on.

I don't like any idea that punishes players for leaving a clan. These ideas always talk about hoppers but fail to consider (and/or care about) people who leave a clan (even during a war) for legitimate reasons. A never-disappearing punishment is even worse, no chance at redemption.

Also, someone might want to move this. Just in case.

I came here potentially agreeing with this idea, but this post is incredibly accurate.

    Revision to the idea

What if the H disappeared every month with the changing of leagues and resetting of troop donations?

The Scarlet Letter was the worst book of all time. This idea is horrible because it reminds me of my days of suffering in 10th grade when I had to read that awful book!

Not sure I like that idea of being branded for doing something that has mentioned may have been for legit reasoning. Maybe if you leave a clan that you are involved with in war then a light ban for 3 days would be sufficient. If that case, if there was a legitimate reason to leave, the punishment would only be a few days without ability to war again. Would make the jumpers think twice, and or make the reason that the person leaves even if legit just little more of a should I go or not thought process.
