I'm currently pushing, got to m1 using the following from m3:

    8 healers
    16 giants
    28 archers
    both heroes
    Rage, heal, poison spells

8 healers may seem excessive, but it really helps keeping the heroes alive, which I confess to having to rely on. Many prefer loonian, but the above means I'm not spending DE on minions. All the above are max for TH9. I'm pretty much only attacking TH9's, the odd 8 pops up but is only worth 1 cup so I skip it. Getting 1 star reliably, with 2 stars now and then, and the odd 3 star here and there. Once you get into masters the cost is pretty much covered by the win bonus so running out of loot isn't a problem. In fact I've been able to get quite a few lego walls done on the way. I will use spells, but try to keep it to minimum, with the healers I can usually get away with only using poison to clear cc troops. Always log off with TH out, you're going to lose, but 9/10 times it's 1 cup for a snipe.

Biggest issue is the crazy low cup offers in masters. I know it works on how many cups the enemy has, but when you get offered 3 cups for a highly advanced TH10, followed by 20 cups for an under developed TH9 you wonder if the trophy system needs changing! Single best bit of advice, where ever you live make sure you are searching when most go to bed. You get a rush of snipes! I got 7 in the space of 15 minutes at 11:30pm. Same thing happens every night.

Good for you but I need a strategy where I don't focus as much with sniping as it takes really long. i would rather use strategies and attacks worth a few more cups.

As a th9 I made it through masters with the following 3 armies.

    Super queen with hogs
8 healers 20 hogs. Use hogs on backside of base and king to clean backside up.

    Hogowiwi
a bit expensive on the de which is why I alternated between armies.

Gowiwipe. (Really solid 2 star comp)
    2 golem 2 pekka 2 witch 16 wiz 10 wb 2 rage 1 heal 1 jump (for emergencies)

Hope this helps. And no I didn't barch my way up... I don't have that kind of time.
I made it through masters 1 with solid gowiwipe usually getting about 65 to 70% 2 star on even max th9s. (Lvl 3 golems lvl 1 witches) I usually got above 10 cups with each attack. For the final push I also boosted for 6 hrs straight but that's becuase my base couldn't defend up there so I had to push fast. (Early th9 from max th8)

A 1-star raid with Barch that trains in half the time as a 2-star raid with a solid army is the same net stars.

Here are my steps for trophy pushing:

    1. Barch. Most bases have enough garbage buildings around the edge and targets behind the walls that you can get a star and league bonus to cover your army costs on most attacks.

    2. Snipe when you can, barch 50% when you can, do collector raids when you see them.

    3. When barch stops reliably working (your raids are only doing 30%-45% damage), then you've reached the ceiling. Time to implement your alternate attack strategy for harder bases.

    4. Leave your Town Hall outside. Better to get sniped for 1-star trophy loss than have someone trying to get your loot and 3-starring you base. You will lose fewer trophies when you log off if you give up the easy 1-star than holding out for someone going for loot and getting 2 or 3 stars.

But this is so boring and it doesn't help your attacking skill with any useful armies at all... but if u wanna just barch forever go ahead... you're missing out.

I am currently in Silver I and thinking about doing a trophy push as i haven't done one in a while. Would you start a trophy push with full storages? I am planning to do Loonion or Lavaloonion but those armies cost around 150k elixir and you would need a full storages to start a trophy push? What if you run out of your resources during a raid? Do you leave your Town Hall outside during a trophy push?

Thanks for reading and if you could answer my questions then I would really appreciate it. Also if you would like to leave a few tips or advice for a trophy push then that will be appreciated too. Thanks.
I'm in the middle of my first really big push right now, getting close to the top of masters. I was able to barch up to the bottom of masters without much trouble, targeting TH snipes, TH8s and bases with their THs offset near the edge of their base.

Around 2600-2700 these easy targets start going away. Maybe you can find them if you look hard enough, but personally I hate nexting for more than a few minutes. Most villages have infernos, any TH9s are usually pretty solid and if you see a TH8 it is for single digit trophies like 2 or 3. Now I switched over to a more heavy hitting army comp that is pretty good at getting 2 stars on high level TH9s.

1 rax 2 wbs rest giants
1 rax 2 wbs rest barbs
    2 rax barracks
    1 heal 1 rage 4 EQ 1 poison.

I'm becoming a big fan of raiding with earthquakes! With this spell comp you can raid every hour with full spells, no boosting or waiting around for hours because it uses both spell factories. I do log out between most attacks and have been able to still rise steadily. I don't have time for long sessions and don't like to next a lot so this method works good for me. I might switch to a war army to get up over 3200 if it starts getting tougher- I'm around 2900 now.

    * I do leave my TH outside. losing less trophies and less loot, I've tried both ways. Max TH9 def, btw and mostly lego walls.

    Good luck!

Barch is the way to go at least until masters. You don't have to like it but it is the most efficient. Fast army time easy 50% on bases of your choosing. Another neglected aspect of it is that you don't have to deploy your whole army everytime, speeding up your next attack. You could say this is true of any army but it's not because variable troop armies mean you dont know what to queue behind your troops. For instance if you save 25 minions on a lava loon attack, you still need to train the standard amount of loons for your attack, saving you no time.

I would push with your normal farming until you reach the point that finding a "winnable" base becomes difficult. You can leave your Town Hall out too. Just be sure that each attack nets more stars than you lose on a snipe. Then I'd switch to the Loonion or LavaLoonion you are thinking about. I've personally made it to 3100 trophies using Loonion with 1-2 rage spells and heros. I didn't feel like going to extra mile once I got to that point. When you get around there you'll be needing to use war armies. I don't think you need your storages full when you start the push. Just be sure to have a minimum amount to raid for each attack. Once you hit master leagues as long as you find a base with about 100k elixir you'll pay for your army. I think the most important part of pushing is being patient. Be sure the base you are raiding is winnable.
