    Jump spell vs earthquake

Soooo what's the difference? If you have a lvl 3 jump spell then it's just as useful and takes up half the spell room than 4 earthquakes. Thoughts and opinions ⬇️

Earthquake opens up a bigger radius and it stays open. On some bases, this can open up several areas more than a jump spell. Really only useful at TH10, where using 2 spells still leaves you with 3. I just used earthquake on a TH10 in war and got an easier two star then I would have with jump and an extra spell. I opened up a nice big hole to the core.

Actually it almost screwed me, because my golems went in to the core too fast and my wizards had to catch up with the outside buildings lol. Next time i'll wait till my funnel is done to open it up. But very cool and very awesome against certain base layouts.

Its only one tile larger. For 2 spell slots.

    earthquake can damage close buildings,

but 2 extra spaces for this damage and a tile larger isn't worth it, maybe if it was 3 spaces i would use it.

Two Jumps are still better than a Earthquake spell.

with jump spell, you need to place it outside on the ledge of wall, making its useful span at 6 grids in diameter, while earthquake, it's 8 grids in diameter that you can actually use.

Then you're using it wrong. Earthquake doesn't just open walls - it takes a big chunk out of high HP buildings. There's a growing shift in the game toward earthquake spells. It's being used in higher leagues quite successfully and will be trickling down to lower ones. Mark my words, earthquake is coming and it's pretty darn useful.

Its base dependent and strategy dependent like everything.

If you only need to get past a layer or two of walls for the first 30 seconds of an attack and then not bother with that area again then jump is the way to go.

But if you need a section opened up for the whole raid earthquake seems to be more useful.

Life is like drawing without an eraser. If you screw up, you have to make the best of it

I think it strongly depends on base design. There are times in which two jumps would be better. There are certainly bases that you can open a better pathway to the core with just EQ.
