I think u should be able to send a friend request to any player in the game and then if they accepted it they would go in your my friends tab. What do u guys think

I agree this should be implemented, but they have to do it in a way so that people can't spam it, and you have an option to turn off the ability for others to friend you.

That would mean they would need to create a totally new friends tab, since the current one is based on the Facebook friends. Just a thought, but can't you just add them on Facebook and thus have them on the list?
If it's to add this option, then I'd say it should be by default unmarked and only those who want to get friend requests should activate it.
