I alternated between loonion and healer/aq with back side hogs but at the time I was more interested in pushing than farming. I would assume straight gibarch can still work well if u can get 50% on bases.

Best farming for th9 period is Silver 3, barch.

At master's 3 I would farm with barbarians and archers. Bring lightning spells in case you need the extra percentage points. Lightning can defeat builder huts and hero platforms when you get 47-49%. Use your heroes towards the end to get 50% and then rage them and quit. That way they will be ready for all of your farming attacks. Look for bases that have a lot of loose stuff around the outside of the base or under developed bases. One key thing to look out for is you will want to attack every townhall 9 you see, but some of them put builder huts and such deep in the base to try to lower your percentage. This is where a lightning spell can earn you victory.
