    I don't think it changed tbh; I always took extra time to scout and it would be rather silly to have you start right as he screen opened. Any second wasted is the difference between a 2 and a 3 star.

    It it was never removed. They added the "confirming troops" feature that once you confirmed your attack you could not back out without it counting as a used attack even if you did not place any troops or spells. People just started to attack as soon as the confirmed thinking that the 30 secs weren't there.
