Outline: During the preparation of war phase members can select their own castle and cast in an amount of resources (probably just gold and elixer). Keeping dark elixer still difficult to gain. An alert is sent to the opposing leader/coleader that the opposing clan wishes to wager. Wagering amounts at 500k-5million resources. Players who dont donate cant win any amount of the wager.
Once the the war starts all wagering is ceased. Once wagers have been placed they may not be retracted.
Clan leaders have the option to "decline all wagers"
i believe this will ramp up competitiveness during wars.

what about players who dont want to wager?
those players simply do not fill their clan castle with their own resources
where do the resources go?
the resources deposited into the wager are in limbo until war ends. They cant be taken from or added to
wont players with high resources fill the wager amount by themselves?
players cant place in more than 5-7 percent of the maxed wager capacity- forcing the wager amount to be distributed.
what if the wage amounts aren't equal?
Clan A places in 1 million combined resources, clan B places in only 800k. Then the wager is set at 800k and the 200k is refunded to clan A
this would break the currency system
if this is widely believed then a "house fund" is actually lost. 10-20% of the wagered amount before being awarded to the victors.
how are the winnings distributed?
Simple. Whoever wagered will win their amount two fold. - minus the possible 10-20% house fund.
