    Disappointing with the changes/updates

I have been grinding on walls & heroes as a th9 while trying to be successful in wars. It's already difficult before all these updates/changes:

    • multiplayer matchmaking changes mostly matches me with th8/th9/th10 with difficult to get resources. Rarely found filled collectors anymore. The farming for resources takes painfully long & expensive. And you also lose big more frequently getting raid by other th9/th10.
    • Taking away zapping DE means I lost more DE by getting creamed by others th9/th10.
    • Sticky troops selection bug has caused me a few failed war attacks.
    • Queen now is much harder to get her to the core...even though she kills more effectively.
    • Wall breaker AI is bad (they said they reverted it. But it's different again now). They go to where my golems are only to get killed by mortar or wizard tower that are targeting golems. They don't go to nearest walls of closed compartment anymore. My supposed strong 2/3 stars gowiwi attack turned into a barely 1 star attack because my 11 wall breakers failed to break open a single wall.
    • poison spell negates cc troops defense. That means taking away skills/strategies.
    • Upgrading heroes is a painfully long process and failure to use heroes in war because of constant upgrade needed at th9+ hurts war attacks tremendously. (i know it's not part of updates)

The game has been fun for me thru early th9. But it's just not fulfilling & often frustrating than fun as you progress to a stronger th9+ as a war player. The grinding has been much harder than some hard core RPG games. It really took away the fun from me...

Well 1) your not paying for this game where you would for the rpg.
    2) you've just gotta learn to adjust, imagine how much of a slap in the face it would've been when they first introduced the loot penalty? All those rushed ths... How much of a slap would it have been when they imposed the loot cap? When they first brought in de?

If you're complaining about being a TH9 and getting matched with TH8/9/10, who exactly are you supposed to get matched up with?

The most are not satisfied with this update, the reasons were given in tons of protest letters. We have now a downgraded army because of increased building life points, a malfunction of the articifical intelligence in all its splendor, a input lag while selecting troups or spells, seeking air mines that doesn't detect healers etc. So my prediction for the next update is the total show stopper update together with a third hair dryer..

Dont rush your th if you suck at attacking. The game is not about nexting until you find a collector raid, but yout taking down bases. Learn to raid storages. With lvl6 giants and queen this is more than easy enough. This update was really great for active players, because it reduced th sniping giving more loot and it excludes most players from the search, that would give you 50% loot penalty anyway.

[*]Taking away zapping DE means I lost more DE by getting creamed by others th9/th10.
No you only loose less dark to little th7 players that cant attack properly. Zapping has always been a bad strategy. With a well placed jump and/or rage spell you get much more ressources than with a lightning spell.

[*]Sticky troops selection bug has caused me a few failed war attacks.
I agree this is a horror. I hope this gets fixed in the next update, because every farming attack I misclick at least once.

[*]Queen now is much harder to get her to the core...even though she kills more effectively.
Maybe if you use lavaloon, but on all ground attack where she wanders off, you have done something wrong.

[*]Wall breaker AI is bad (they said they reverted it. But it's different again now). They go to where my golems are only to get killed by mortar or wizard tower that are targeting golems. I have not recognized any changes. The splash damage of mortars/wizard towers has been a problem since the update in mid 2014 where units started taking out the same wall, which can be good for lvl6 wall breakers against purple walls, if they target the walls that already have 1 or 2 hits from the giants so you need only one, but also can be a disaster in cws using golems near a maxed wizard tower.

[*]poison spell negates cc troops defense. That means taking away skills/strategies.
No you just have to fill high quality troops instead of only cheap trash for distracting. Archers should not be the best option for warbase. Fill in dragons and valks and you will be OK.

[*]Upgrading heroes is a painfully long process and failure to use heroes in war because of constant upgrade needed at th9+ hurts war attacks tremendously. (i know it's not part of updates)
Yes this is the biggest problem at the moment. A lot of high th9 or th10 players quit because there are only walls and heroes left. Walls are boring, because they do not get used 99% of the time and upgrading heroes means you have to opt out the rest of your clash career.

The game has been fun for me thru early th9. But it's just not fulfilling & often frustrating than fun as you progress to a stronger th9+ as a war player. The grinding has been much harder than some hard core RPG games. It really took away the fun from me...
The reason for this is the system that you either find easy 200K collector raids or ♥♥♥♥. The loot of the average bases should be improved to get the nexting count down. If I have to next 50 times per raid to find a player with 200K each in collectors this may be a great ressource output, but it would be really boring.
Imagine a game without collector raids, but every base giving 100K each plus league bonus. I really love farming, if I can do good attacks on bases with many storages, but nexting for ages only to raid some collectors with barbarian/goblins is simply boring.

andrgin, thx for your inputs and I totally understand your point of views.

I did not rush my base and pretty good at 3 starring at wars. I am just extremely bored at grinding lvl 10 walls (currently have all legos + about 30 lavas) & upgrading my lvl 15 heroes. 3mi a wall & over 80k DE for hero are very difficulty to farm...it takes forever to farm those even using giants. And with any DE over 40K in storage, u are just gonna keep raided by other stronger th9/th10. (We already have several th9 clan members quitting because of this grinding...) It would take me well over another year with farming 4/5 hrs everyday if I want to bring heroes to lvl 30...

And at the moment, with other little things here, there adding up. I am just feeling quite frustrated. Not that I can't adjust or get over it, but my enjoyment with this game is dropping everyday.

And I know I play it for free. But we are also those who keep the game going strong so others are willing to pay for gemming.

How removing zapping from coward players mean your base now gets crushed by other player?

Just say that you are no longer able to farm with barch + zap.

I make between 10-15k DE each day. I don't see why you need to farm 4/5 hours per day to upgrade your heroes.

Just come attacking 2k-3k targets in the upper leagues and you'll finish those heroes in no time.

I sit on 160k DE right now because I have a war on monday.

Clash of Clans is a multiplayer game. It was designed for people to actually attack one another, not for players to attack purposely-weakened, inactive villages with depleted xbows and infernos and no CC troops. Nor was it intended for players to simply tap on a building to gain one of the most expensive resources in the game without any skill or thought whatsoever. The fact that it ever let you do these things is the real mistake, and they've been correcting that mistake for more than a year now. If your gameplay depends on these, you're not really embracing the game they built and you may as well play a single-player game.

I haven't been experiencing any problems with my wallbreakers. It looks to me that they're simply targeting the weakest wall. If you deploy them before your golems start damaging a wall section, you should be fine. But if the golems take any HP out of the wall before you deploy them, they'll likely see that as the weakest section and go straight to it.

Although poison does add a new wrinkle, if you think it negates CC troop defense, you're using the wrong troops. We've had the spell for some time now and there's still strategy in triggering, luring, clustering, and dealing with the troops. Several troops are unaffected by it, and you still need to get them together. Poison is definitely more effective against lower-level or single unit troops, but I still consider it on par with lightning or loon drops. And we have no idea what Supercell has planned next.

i find it hard to be disappointed in the updates because no matter what they change everyone still in the same boat so other players have no advantage

The only valid complaints you have are the troop selection problem and heroes in war.

removing zapping was the best update ever!
