I just recently did a blog post about the new poison spell and people over reacting to it. Here is a link http://clashingwithkletus.blogspot.c...son-spell.html Essentially people are become to obvious with their clan castles as they are resorting to only dragons, balloons, lavahounds, and valkries. Variation is still the key to winning clan war matches. They should not be able to guess what you have in your clan castle. Switch it up amongst the bases.

I plan on experimenting with a healer. I think it will catch most attackers off guard (on the first attack anyway) and it could cause problems since she hangs further back and can help cause a delay in killing the other troops.

Anyhow, any other strats you all have found useful? I was thinking lure at least out to the perimeter - that way you don't have to fight it while being bombarded by defenses...
    Thanks!
All depends on the raid. In our last war, the enemy kindly put lavas in bases 1-10 (mostly TH9) and drags further down. My mini hit one of those top 10 with a lavaloon, and I gowiwi-ed one (it was an odd base) and hogged another. In all 3 cases I simply completely ignored the lava, and attacked as if I knew the CC was empty. In the gowiwi raid the lava pups got a couple of my wiz, but the hounds had other real effect. In fact in the hog raid it was quite helpful - it was opposite side to AQ and triggered quite late, so after killing enemy AQ, my kill team paused to fight the lava rather than pushing deeper into the base and getting killed.

However if hitting an inferno base I would be more concerned about the delay a lava might cause to certain troops and not others.

Have you seen what the healer does when she comes out of the cc? Lol, don't use her.
