    Defensive CC Troops

What have you found success with in your defensive clan castles for war? My clan usually has dragons, balloons, and valks since they're high hp troops. Occasionally a hound will be in someone's too but have you found any success with any other troops that serve both purposes for defending your base and not dying to a poison spell?

I am a th10 and I tend to take a Lava in the CC and some other troops, because that usually gets to keep the attacker's queen busy for quite some time, while the defences clear the ground troops. Sometimes I also take 1 dragon 1 valk 1 balloon and 2 goblins (high movement speed, might avoid the Poison Spell and get in front of the other cc troops, thus buying them couple more seconds).

Loons are a solid choice after poison, since they don't fall to it. It also takes quite a few archers to take them down and they do splash damage when they fall. Wizards shoot them down fast though since they're grouped.

Do not fear Poison too much, sometimes it is still worth forcing a player to us it. If you have a Hound for example an second round attacker will know Poison is useless. Therefore take a Haste or Quake instead.

Wizards and Witches are still fantastic defenders for CCs that cannot be easily lured.

Loons will start becoming less good once people start maxing their poisons (TH10 obviously) as they will take the loons down to 5hp each.

Good thing about loons is, they will move on top of grouped wizards then crash.

We use loons mainly as spacefillers with Drag or Lava Hound.

Witch and wiz are useless since you don't even have to lure them to the edge anymore

Depending on clan castle size about the only option is drags, valks, loons, and hounds at this point it seems.

Not a math person, so haven't looked yet...what about hogs? Would they outrun it? (Since you mentioned goblins' speed....)

    Thanks TerM!

Got kinda worried snooks might be gf, but seems there's no gf in the set-up so she is absolutely confirmed.

Th9's and 10's in my clan have been using lava hounds as they are high hp and poison spell won't kill it.
