I disagree with you. My comment was based on the thread title and your opening statements in the initial post. Rather than just not discussing donating, you actually emphasise not donating. My issue is not with your thread and contents as a whole (which you have put a fair effort into producing) but to suggest there is not need to donate in this game is simply misleading.

Most CoC players of any experience already know the many tricks and tips you have collated here, but the inexperienced - those who benefit most - will take this thread as licence not to donate. And that is a dis-service to the game.

There is no use challenging me or my clans to compare FIN totals unless we/they are at the same exp levels. You know that, but good effort in distraction. The debate is this thread, not your actual habits in-game (For the record, my main is th9, exp level 107, FIN 28k).

The reality is, if donations count so highly in your clan and you are trying to assist the inexperienced or unknowing why title your thread this way when it has little bearing on the content and message (and even less on your own practices) ?

I will change the opening statement to include something to show that donating is still a great way to get experience, this is just for a quick boost inbetween the requests but I did mention there was a reason why I was looking for extra experience, due to the change in my time zones!
At the bottom of My process I finished up with saying throwing in the donations, keeps the xp coming.

I can see the confusion if your briefly/quickly read the thread or skip to the process, it is a longish thread so really understandable! I will add a few adaptions let me know if it works for you!

Currently at 186k FIN, I will throw a screen shot to show I'm still all for donations and for helping out the clan! As well as your self!

For those on a limited data plan. Force closing COC/BB and reloading it will increase your data usage. Maybe because it forces the game to reload all the data that has been cached? maybe dunno lol. But im sure it increases data usage.

While the information is pointless to yourself, some may benifit from it, it depends on your value on the experience level.

As a veteran player and visiter to the forum I don't comment on lower Townhall related threads saying I find it pointless information, because some players do, don't be so negative, just pass over the threads you find irrelevant to the information your trying to seek.

Hmm interesting, Iv always found clash to be one of the lowest Apps on Data usage, It has increased since replays where introduced. I had a 500mb Data plan while in the UK, and when I returned back a few months ago, I think clash used about 100mb I will have to put my UK sim and see if it updates, but currently my iPhone says clash has 2.1GB of data, and Iv had it since the iPhone 6 came out in around October time.

Anyone else have any more accurate stats on Clash's Data usage, I can reset and have keep an eye, but I do switch between accounts on my phone a lot, and I think that it downloads the profile every time, but caches 1 Account players.

If your finding the content of the thread irrelevant to your goals in clash then please skip the thread.

Some players see level as an extra addition to the game, some view Trophies, gold grab or war hero as a goal to increase. Everyone has a personal achievement in the game the are proud of, and look at increasing, as an orginal and one of the first players to start the game, experience had a little more of a spot light in the game, now it's more hidden away but still something I'm proud of, and I'm sure you would be if your level exceeds 99% of players you interact with, especially on global!
