I'm pretty sure it is 10% so if you have 100000 gold people can only steal 10000 but if you have 2000000 people can steal 200000 gold from you

This depends on several factors like:

- Is your cc in the center of you base?
- Do you have somewhere to spend the loot?
- Do you expect a builder soon (1 day or less)?
- Are your storages full?

If your cc is in the center then cc loot is in the safest place
If you have something to spend loot on then collect it
If you don't have a builder or not having one soon then don't collect it
If your storages are near full & cc in center then don't collect

If, using a level 4 CC as an example (TH8 cc) you can only loot 7% of it. Ignoring any clan perks, that's 70k gold/elixir, assuming its full.

If you transfer it to storages, you can loot 14% (at TH8) or 140k.

The percentage lootable from the CC changes with TH level, going down from 10% at TH 3-5, by 1% each TH level to 5% at TH10.

Keep it in the CC as much as possible. Your CC has huge HP (larger than storages) and it's always better to have your loot spread out across more than one storage, so a weak attack doesn't hit the motherlode. That's if you keep your CC somewhat central, of course.

Just don't forget to collect it before winning a war, maxing out your CC storage and losing out on about 400k, as I once did!

I would also add that one of the most important factors to take into account is whether you are over the threshold amount to reach the loot cap of your storages.

If your storages are under the loot cap and you collect the CC then you are transferring it to a storage that can have double the loot taken from it (for TH10 5%-10%) so you are better off leaving it where it is (assuming the CC is as well protected as the storages).

If you go over the storage loot cap then you might as well collect it (assuming you are going to be able to spend it soon) because adding it to the storages will reduce the overall amount lootable from you as the storages are already at the cap (so going from 5% lootable to 0%).
