As a TH8 dragon attacker I profit negatively in elixir, but positively in everything else, I'm probably gonna switch to gowipe soon though so then yes dark elixir profit will probably break even or maybe even negative.

It could be boosted, but IMO, it really doesn't need to be adjusted. If your clan uses dragons, you lose elixir with attacks and donating, right? I use three golems per war attack, with a couple of witches on occasion and think the war loot is fine. I certainly make more gold and elix, but it's an element of the game. Supercell doesn't want to make it too easy to get every kind of loot, it would cost them $.

yes but even boost the war reward 15% or if they are generous 25%, but even a 15% increase would be extremely helpful, it would make war a bit more manageable.

I'm willing to pay more than I earn in clan wars but that's why we end up on the winning side. I'm curious if clan wars is giving the economy a net negative on dark elixir.

Likely a negative. Specially if you factor in losers.

I guess we war 2-3 times a week and the DE hasn't been an issue for us. My drills make more in a day than I spend on a war (not counting donations). Just UG golem to max for th9 (11 days left) and I already have over 20,000 DE with barch and drills.

Since I'm of the top rank in clan wars, I need to fill up defense CC. Last night I make about:
- 5 witches x 350DE
- 1 lava x 510DE
- minions - let's not even count this
Total: 2260

For each attack, I use:
- 3 golems x 750DE
- 5-6 witches x 350DE
- poison spell - ignore this
Total: 4350

Also, donating to clan mates for CW attacks, let's just take some minimal figure:
- 2 golems x 750DE
- 1 lava x 510DE
Total: 2010

If I attack #1 and #2, I can get about 5k DE max.

So, it does not cover my DE expenses in war. Unless I become a hermit and just wait for others to fill up CC.

Almost 10k de per war. I war once a week but my clan always warring so I donate in wars I'm not participate !!!!
1- donate 2 lava in war cc
2- donate 3 lava 3 golem 2 witch for attacks!
3- use 8 lava 2 golems for my own attacks!

BTW I don't care because I always have excess de!!!!
The worst part for me is I lose at least 30k de per war because of time spend in wars rather than farming!!!!

My hypothesis is that war has a net possitive on DE for every TH except high level TH9s, TH10s. There may be exceptions like TH8 hoggers.

I generally use dragloon, hogs, or gowipe at th8. For hogs I spend around 1,740 de for 30 hogs and 1,050 for 2 golems
