I've been playing for a year and a half too, which is probably twice as long as I've played any other game in the past. Let's face it all games have a shelf life and maybe coc has reached that point. It was a very fun game early on and I was spending at least an hour a day raiding. Now I just put in my war raids and do a little chatting with my clan mates. The best aspect is that you don't have to farm to make (some) progress. I can still buy and upgrade the new content just with collector income and war loot. If farming was required I would have quit before now.

Yes all games do have a " shelf life " but here is the thing, many new players are still joining, the percentage of players that are maxed and have nothing else to do is very very small. Like for me for example I am a mid TH8 so I still have a LONG way to go for this game, yes in a few years this game will probably decline, but I think it'll be around for a while still.
and why exactly are you bored now?
and with clashcon they are doing obviously they still care about this game and won't be closing it down any time soon.
