When I am attacking, I will always have my full army.

While "nexting" for a village to attack, if I stumble across an exposed Town Hall, I will snipe it for the win.

If this Town Hall that I snipe for the win is trapped, I will proceed to follow up with a full attack on the rest of the village.

Every time.

Even at th8 I trapped my th with 2 teslas at least 1 mortar in range. There are only 2 options. I have enough loot to be worth being attacked or not. If I have the loot, he will come for my storages anyway after the snipe. If I can kill 50 archers at the th I have it much easier. Also my th covers the weaker side. If you attack on the other side, you have to face more defenses.
If I have no loot, I doubt you will attack me and even if you do, I will not care.
90% you get sniped it is by low level noobs. They snipe my th and then take a few mines.

Also I often hear that th trapping is bad. No it is not. TH sniping is bad because it destroys the economy if everybody is cheap shielded. If you send some of the little snipers home, loot will improve for all.

TH trappers are no more than a small nuisance since even lvl 8 teslas can be taken out with only a small percentage of my lvl7 barch army. I will make sure and kill their clan troops and set off any giant bombs they were dumb enough to put on the outside of their base as my special way of saying "you are welcome". If it was a base I was planning on raiding anyway I always forget about the TH as soon as I see it is trapped so I can hit the base with my full army.

I trap because of the laughs, share it with my clan the 240 barch that failed against my traps and all is good, do it because of the tears, do it because i love to see you slam your "high heros" into my base after dumping half your army taking the th and grabbing maybe 30k each, i trap to watch that 24 hog raid... for a th and 1k each profit, trapped for 6 months, masters down, laughed at every single one and not once got hit for any decent amount, stilp trapping, still laughing, moar tears please!!

Got a great raid today thanks to a trapper. While at work I generally just sit at my desk and snipe for the win bonus. Never use a full army during the day but have it built. Came across a th 9, full gold and all collectors somewhat filled. I figured I'd just snipe him and do him the favour of a free shield cos he seemed to be farming for an upgrade. Dropped 5 archers, teslas popped up and a bomb went off.
Long story short I went full gowiwi, took all his gold, set off every trap I could and ended the battle before taking his th out.

I actually just posted about this on my blog earlier this month. I'll post the link below. Essentially trapping your townhall removes available loot from the game which limits the amount of money available for anyone to steal.
