This clearly isn't fair. He doesn't lose anything if he loses the attack (so why not?) but you would lose the trophies you got in last week if you lost

He did probably lose 1 cup. With attacks with those extremes of trophy differences the usual outcome is that the defender gains zero cups and the attacker loses one.

It is a shame for the defender though in one way in that they are successful yet get nothing for it. On the other hand as someone said it could have been a lot worse.
