I think it depends on the base but I would have to agree that they 3 star a lot more. Theyre just more versatile it seems

Dragons are better at TH8 in my opinion. Hog Riders are more vulnerable to spring traps and giant bombs. Hog Riders are also super unpredictable.

The 3 TH9 bases I just wiped out with my lvl 5 hogs would probably disagree.

I have recently started to use Hogs in war over Dragons at TH8. Although Dragons can get the 3*, they are not reliable and most bases don't suit it. But Hogs are ruthless, aslong as you get your heal placements correct it's an automatic 3*. Hog attacks seem so easy, easier than Dragons.

Yep, I would agree, unless it is an anti-hog base, so I would use GoHo to clear any potential GB spaces then do a hog.

There is no doubt they are better. I could even three star most max th8s with them as a th7. However, I still like to use drags more often in war because they don't cost de, and a full out hog army is expensive.

Dragons are only less consistent because they have been "flavour of the month" 3 star war army for a while now. What that generally means is people optimise their base and attack against dragons/dragloons. So when people do that, their base becomes weak against other attacks... like hogs or GoWiPe.

Back when hogs were "flavour of the month" you could easily 3 star TH8s with dragons. Just wait till hogs comes back into fashion and then you will see enough anti-hog bases to see your consistent 3 stars erode. Then who knows maybe GoWiPe will become the new star.

Attacks like HoLo or GoHo whilst great at 3 stars I doubt will ever become the flavour of the month due to the steep upgrade times and learning curve which the majority of players will not bother with.

Best way to 3 star is to not pre-cook and army and try to attack the base, best way to 3 star is to always scout the base and see what army is best suited to exploit the weaknesses of the base.

You didn't use the word Ignorant right, please learn to use it. My post was simply my opinion, and honestly no i haven't heard of Surgical Hogging (I tend to stick to other attacks pref) So don't call someone ignorant when their opinion clashes with yours, that's ignorant.

I myself actually loved using Hogs, but i *feel* they don't stand up very well at vs very strong TH9's. Especially with good giant bomb placement. Next time don't call someone an incorrect term before allowing them to explain. Thank You.
