hey guys , i'm new at th 8 but upgraded some stuff like barbs to lvl 5 . i'm currently at gold 3 and would like to reach masters league . can anyone tell me what troops to use . after the recent update ? to clarify i want to get to masters for the achievement so that i can buy my 4th builder after that i will drop to the trophy range with a lot of loot

Didn't you just make a thread saying that you are looking for loot. You won't find it up there, the bonus is good but good luck getting it. Anyway I suggest you you GIBARCH until you start having troubles with it. After a while mass drags and gowipe will he your main option. Hoped it helped.
You can do it by sniping
Bit boring but cost effective for sure
Did the whole Crystal 3-2-1 to Master 3 as a TH7 in less than 10 days playing one or two hours in the morning and one or two hours in late afternoon (good 12h shields schedule^^)
Train barch or BAM, bring some giants if you want (if TH is trapped by teslas)
Matchmaking up there for TH7 an TH8 I suspect will be very similar... so first bases will be shown are TH9s usually in your league, then it starts picking TH8s which are much lower (gold mostly)... This is why you should always go back to your village and begin searching again when you start seeing 1/2/3/4 trophy offers. Basically you have to hope those first bases will have TH out. Yes it will happen ^^
Keep TH outside so you'll get sniped too, most people won't go further
