Its your game to play, so really do what you enjoy best- but TH10 is a different beast. Your heroes are not high enough, so why not sit at TH9, do some walls while your heroes are upgrading a bit?

If you are doing this for war- should really wait. Everyone is in a rush to go from three starring to two starring.

Hey guys, I'm town hall 9, have all troops maxed for th9,defense too. My heroes are level 17 and 18(BK,AQ).

My question is, should I upgrade my walls to level 10 before I upgrade my town hall. Are they worth it, or not and why?

Have maxed TH10 Defenses > having TH9 weak stuff and lvl 10 walls.

I'd get heroes both to 20, then upgrade. Walls aren't worth it. Go to TH10, it's SO much more fun than grinding out TH9.

I've just upgraded to 10 having finished the lava grind. I didn't quite max heroes as walls finished first but it was well worth it the difference in loot is huge at th10 and there will be lots of wall distractions. It will also give you time to get those dark spells up. I suggest you do it you won't regret it.

I maxed my heros and did as many lavas as I could. I think i had 40 or 50 lavas when I went to th10.

I do not regret it for 1 second. If you can farm 100 million loot each per month, it will take you almost 4 months to farm lavas. I was more interested in learning th10 and upgradingmy heros to max then screwing around with walls.

I am 100 percent max now except for walls and the troops/spells from the new update. I have about 15 lavas left. Ive been 4500+ for 2 months with some percentage of legos. Most higher level bases are an open layout design to trap golems. Most lower level bases have air troops flying over walls and jump spells jumping ground troops.

Staying at TH9 to upgrade walls:

PROS:

• Higher walls sooner
• No loot penalty vs TH9s
• 10% loot penalty vs TH8s
• 50% loot penalty vs TH7s
• More likely to find TH8s & TH9s
• TH10s less likely to find you
• Will be better prepared for TH10 once you upgrade

CONS:

• Sleeping builders
• Idle lab
• More likely to finish TH10 defenses and lab at a later date

Upgrading to TH10 now:

PROS:

• Working builders
• Working lab
• More likely to max defenses and lab sooner

CONS:

• Will take longer to finish walls
• 75% loot penalty vs TH7s
• 50% loot penalty vs TH8s
• 10% loot penalty vs TH9s
• Less likely to find TH8s & TH9s
• TH10s more likely to find you
• Lower heroes & walls/less prepared for being a new TH10

I have a 30 aq and 23 bk. been working on walls have full Legos with 50 lavas.. It's a pain but def will be worth it in the end

id say do about 60% lv 10 walls then move to th 10 but if you have patience max them
