    Th 9 - What really stops a gowi(wi)pe 2 star?

Title kinda explains it all. I know it's not that hard to 2 star if you try really hard on it and all, but for a few wars some of our th 9 bases have only been 1 starred so I want to find out what really stops the 2 stars so all our th 9s can have bases that the average noob can't 2 star.

So, when you attack with GoWiWhatever, what really stops a 2 star? What have you noticed stops it on your own bases?

    Stuff I already noticed
-Clan castle killing the golem before wizards back it up
-Wizards trailing off and getting killed (or giant bomb)
-The obvious troops not going to the th

    What else have I missed?

Anything else would be a summary of what you're saying; a bad attack/deployment. Once the deployment is good Gowipe is a sure two star attack.

Bad funneling - they dont reach the TH.
Too tight deployment - not getting 50%.
Loons in the CC not dealt with - crush golems, pekkas - No star.

Tesla trap outside the walls. Teslas on the side where the base is mostly attacked from the golems will go to them before the defenses and they lead the golems away from your back up troops so they get destroyed leaving a few golems wondering rounded a base. Seems to work pretty good. Clash with Cam did a video on it a while back.

Giant bombs are key to stopping two star, need to not lure golems across them but wiz will cross (ie. gold storage etc.)

I'm not sure why this is much of an issue ... If you only give up two stars on D, isn't that a win? I'd worry more about the 3.

I haven't been 3 starred in months so now it's a challenge to develop an anti-two star base. Last war I was attacked by their 4 top guys and left them all 0 starred

This is why, its kinda an accomplishment and feels really nice if you also 3 star the opponent. Also in our clan wars everyone just seems to gowipe 2 star the th 9s, the 3 stars are so rare, so to see something new in a defense, defending 2 star is where it comes at.

Also it's kinda hard for me to say that only being 2 starred isn't a problem when the opponent clan only 1 stars my base (granted they were terrible...) but of course I can't have other people copying my base.

No one can defend a 2 star against gowipe provided the attacked is decent and of same strength. So to defend a 2 star just pray for ur attacker to be a real noob.

personally there's no way to stop 2 star gowiwipe from "skilled" (lol) gowiwipers.. Most of the 1 star fail is because the attackers are bad..3 stars gowiwipers are really scarce though..

though, it might be possible to screw most attackers by killing the dps unit with GBs if you can do it right with your base
