Experience level (only based on raids or defences won) .. this is basically:
    GoldGrab + HeroicHeist + ElixirEscapades + WarHero + SpoilsOfWar + Unbreakable

XP is not given for wall, troop and hero upgrades, which is unfortunate because it is included in the "base value", so .. I would welcome a visible "Base Value" field, public to all and a "Combined Base Value" for the clan as a whole.

The name experience is really ridiculous !!!
The most experienced players are those who have high Lvl walls, troops heroes but you gain no experience by upgrading them!

Those who just donate lots of giants have high lvls!!!

Yes, I agree...the XP gained from donations is way out of proportion from what you get for build times. A second or two of clicking "donate" can give the same XP that it'd take you hours/days to get from builds...at least make this consistent with the seconds of clicking it takes to upgrade wall segments.

I would quite like to see a base value and troop value score, that is relevant to the town hall. For example a max th8 could be 50 but a max th10 would be 50. Something that would show you the persons progress/strength for their town hall level. This would make it easier when accepting new players and evaluating war opponents. But it is something that is probably too complex.

I quite like the current xp levels, although it can be skewed by donations it does generally give some indication.

It doesnt dictate anything game related or even govern what you can or cant do which is why I view them as pointless.
I say it does count as player experience when u donate troops because most of those dobations by and large and to help others and show that you have an interest in helping other players. If you donate boatloads that probably means that you also give advice to other players, analyze their attacks etc.. The best way for one to gainexperience at anything in life is by teaching and assisting others. If people choose to do that so be it. They is very little incentive for donating except the friend in need gems.So let the players who assists others at least gain xp from it.This shows that they are allrounder flashers and deserve to be ranked high. Although if u actually saw a th4 at lvl 154 I would agree with you on that case: but those cases are very very rare.Only jobless ppl remain at th4 and go to lvl 154 .hope this clarified anything .cheers

A base value including heroes and walls would be extremely nice but really you can still just visit a person base and see it

Back when we had level badges displaying, instead of league badges, it was a convenient way to distinguish between weak and strong players at a glance (no, not always accurate, but a heck of a lot better at that than league badges). Once they took that out, it really faded from relevance IMO.

    50s 60s th6
    60s 70s th7
    70s 80s 90s th8
    90s 100s 110s 120s th9
    >120s th10

That's generally the experience level I've seen where a decently active player is not rushed.

EDIT: I thought you asked for typical xp ranges... if we could see base value or troop value then wars could get bad. there would be a very clear indicator to those people who try to work the system to gain an advantage in wars...

Also just get quick at scouting new people. All the information you need is in their profile or their base to determine if they're rushed etc.

I use it as a method of seeing if someone who requested to join is even worth considering to accept. Of course I can't gauge their skill by their xp level, but I know the general range I want certain THs to be in (th8 at 70-80, th9 at 80-100, etc). Now if they have a good xp level I don't automatically accept them, because like you said, they could be a rushed donator. But after glancing at their xp level if it checks out I will look at their troops and base, and if that's all good then welcome.

But of someone has a low xp level for their th lvl, then I won't even consider it and I won't even look at the base. Like a lvl 60 th9 for example. The xp system saves me time in checking everyone's base who requests to join. That's how I find use in it.
