Avid loonier here, currently in m2 and 50 cups shy of m1 and pushing up. If I were farming, I'd take 24 loons and the rest minions. 20 doesnt seem like enough to lure and dispatch a clan castle and have loons left over to get adequate resources to pay for my raid... unless im doing surgical loonion, which I usually don't. Have perfected the loon splat, so I don't waste too many minions on the cc.

Though, as kingbeezy said, personal preference.
