An almost maxed th9 (details inside), looking for an advice.

You are far from being max, I would call you a mid TH9.
If you want to do zaps at th10 get your lavas and atleast 20/20 heroes.

You should upgrade to TH10 now.

If if you stay at TH9 it's only really to upgrade Heroes which are easier to do at TH10. This is the case because at TH10 you have access to stronger and more troops which allow you to compete in higher leagues, thus getting a better loot bonus. I'm actually getting a larger return per hour farming at TH10 with no heroes than I was at TH9 with 1 hero.

In reality you have already messed up in that you should have prioritised your heroes earlier; but that ship has now saled. My heroes were mid 20's when I finished my TH9 defences and I maxed my walls around a week later.

As a TH9 I seldom had both heroes upgrading together towards the end as it was too hard to save that much DE. At TH10, I've been able to farm enough DE to have both heroes upgrading around two thirds of the time. As I've had both heroes on constant upgrade I'm farming without heroes and I've still managed to raid enough DE to keep them both down which is around 330k per week. This shows that it does not really matter what level your heroes are when you upgrade because any hero support is just a bonus.

in addition, the difference between a L15 Queen and a L25 is not that great. Every upgrade helps but it's not as if your heroes become an unstoppable force at L25.

It's actually not that hard to keep heroes going fairly constant as a 9 with the right focus and trophy range...case in point my th9 is in champs 3 right now with queen going to 28 and king going to 27. At the cost of heroes right now I usually start a new one with roughly 3 days left on the previous.

Thank you for your feedback and suggestions guys. Like I already concluded, I will stick to th9 and take benefit of 90% loot available on th8s lol and keep upgrading walls and heroes.

I can 3 star a maxed out th9 with Go-Hogs, GoWi-Hogs (base-dependant) and 3 star a semi-upgraded th9 with skull walls. And easily 2 star a maxed out th9 with lava walls. Which brings up my question: I'm sorta getting bored with wars as it has become rather quite easy for me to score. Farming is OK too. I do both giants (usually) as well as barch (rarely) attacks.

What is the difference between a maxed out th9 and maxed out th9 with lava walls? Aren't maxed out th9's supposed to have lava walls?

I am confused here.

So you are successful with 2 strategies in clan wars, why not go for something different in clan wars like GoLaLoon, GoVaLo, GoVaHo..... etc... etc? There isn't just 2 3 star strats for th9 in clan wars.

I'm also wondering why you think TH10 is going to be any different, you will be either be going for 4-6 golem GoWiXxXx or GoLaLoon
