SC strategy to keep this game running is to spend all their profit on commercials to attract new players and hope they spend some bucks instead of hiring actual programmers who know what to do with hero/troops AI's while ditching out their old players (mostly th10) by screwing loots and giving them lame updates.

When SoftBank acquired Supercell, Paananen spoke of a 100-year vision and the desire to be the next Nintendo

It will believe me. I myself have been playing games since they first came out on Atari, commodore, game n' watch etc..

And I can tell you that this is by far the longest time I've spent Playing on a single game. Pc & console games don't even come close.

I think Clash will last forever, tbh. Unless Supercell sells the company or makes a stupid move in one of the updates which forces lots of people to quit. But I don't think they'd do that.

Lol yeah, as a mid TH8 it's gonna be quite a while until I'm maxed as well.

I think they have already crossed the rubicon. Would be interest to know the count of inactive villages versus new ones or the ratio between long-term player and newer young kids.

I think it will last a long time, but most of those new members on global end up quitting the game.

what are you saying that you think this game is going down,

idk but like I said there are still lots of new players so I hope this game will last for a while still especially because I'm still only TH8, and supercell would not close down one of their top games and then have just 2 game left BB and HD.
At least clash is way better than all those other war games made by other companies, I tried those games and clash is the only one I like.

Wth the recently announced clashcon obviously they still care about this game otherwise they would not bother to put so much work in to do a clash convention believe it or not.
this game will be around for a long time still, yes it's true that all games go down eventually, and as people reach max TH10 they leave but COC still has a fairly steady stream of new players coming in, I know games that have been around for 10 years and still going, yes they are in decline, but they are still online.

Max th10 frees you from having any more upgrades to do. The end game appears to be in SuperCells mind to push into the legend league. But regardless, I don't see clash of clans giving up the ghost anytime soon.
