if you use all of your elixir in clash of clans you can't train your troops for attack so you should wait for elixir collector for hours and it's not good, if you request elixir and gold like troops in clan you can make your game more exciting and you can also make elixir and gold trades
This wouldn't work just because a Townhall level 10 could send a Townhall 5 a ton of loot and itd be stupid. You should plan out your upgrades so that after the upgrade you have enough loot to make troops. You should never make upgrade when you have the exact amount because you'd be left with nothing.

it should be limited , so you can request elixir up to some number like 200 000 and also you can request just one time at day
