Most Farmers are farming to keep all their Dark Elixer safe, and out of the hands of greedy attackers. If we allow TH's to be able store Dark Elixer, than I'm sure you'll find it annoying finding out you lost some when someone took out your TH. This would give all farmers a reason to put their TH inside their walls, and I'm sure none will want to.
