Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to hear the counter-points as to why this wouldn't be a good idea, but just to play devil's advocate: it stands to reason that if you are in the middle of a boost during the time you are going to be booted for being online for too long, would the same not apply?

You are not getting attacked with some trying to steal your loot as soon as you get kicked off though. Also, not many people pay enough that they actually have gotten kicked off (that I know of).

Which is why I suggested a different type of shield. Maybe it could last 24 hours..?

Anyway, there are certainly going to be people in favor of it, and people who aren't - it's inevitable. I'm just going to let it ride and see if it grows legs. Maybe it will, maybe it won't, but at least the idea is out in the open. Appreciate the discussion.

I have to admit that I am not keen on the idea either. If I only have a limited time available to play each day I don't want to spend up to three and a half of those minutes watching someone else attacking my base.
