Level 10 king or level 4 hogs?

Do you regularly use hogs? I mean in war attacks and so on
If yes - LV4 hogs, and start farming DE again for king
If not or just use them sometimes - King

Well you can't "regularly use" level 3 hogs, far too weak

If you war a lot, level 4 hogs. Level 4 hogs will get you A LOT more 3 stars in wars than a level 10 king. A level ten king is only a slight upgrade when GOWIPing, which is often just a two star strategy, especially against maxed TH8s that you absolutely need level 4 hogs to have a prayer of three starring. I got my level 10 king before level 4 hogs, and it was a HUGE mistake.

I had the exact same choice when I was th8 and I choose king and king lvl 10 is very helpful with the upgraded ability

Is it very helpful? Sure. But how many war attacks will it be the difference between two and three stars in? Very, very few at TH8. The difference between level 3 and level 4 hogs is the difference in one and three stars on pretty much any base that can't be dragoned or gowiped (most sensible upper TH8s)


Let me put this another way, level 10 king: 3 DPS, about 50 HP, 120 health in ability, 2 barbs
30 hogs: 1650 extra hp, 360 extra DPS.

Of course, level 4 hogs are FAR more survivable when healed against giant bombs, level 3 hogs have way too small of a margin for error especially when they're being hit by other defenses. You're still toast by double giant bombs, but if they're triggered wrong level 4 hogs once again have a far better chance at survival.

Looking at the difference, for your strong war attack, is it even a question?

I suggest keeping research going at the laboratory at all times. If you have no other choices, upgrade hogs. You can earn enough DE to upgrade BK within the 12 days it takes to finish hogs if you farm a bunch.

That said, you probably use the BK in every war and farming raid, plus on defense. He's more useful for day to day stuff than hogs.

If you use Hogs for war then definitely go with the Hogs. I did my first war with lvl 4's last night and they ripped through the bases pretty easily.

I would start the hog research then start farming for king and at the latest they should finish at the same time... so my answer is... both! . Always better to start research because it takes longer.

Lab is the bottleneck at th8 not heroes.

King. Iron fist lvl 2 is a large boost for him, and the king is used in farming, warring, trophy pushing, defending, basically every attack that is on or is delt by your village. Hogs are useful for almost exclusively war.

Go with the king. Lvl 10 unlocks iron fist lvl 2.
