almost 500 gems, should i get the worker??

I just installed the game on my iPad.

1st is free
2nd is 250 (they give you 500 gems free)

Really? Wow,they keep making the game harder and harder for new players to catch up...I Just don't understand the continued punishment to newer players, while nothing is done to negate the "time advantage" that the most experienced players enjoy

Imho... you should buy the worker. It becomes often a real bottleneck when you are gaining resources too fast. Upgrades take longer and longer depending on the level of the buildings.

So for me it's the best investment you can do.

now the new questions is how the hell I can save up to 750,000 for the town hall upgrade with raid from other player...

try single player mode when you have a shield. The last 1/2 of levels provide decent returns. The last one has 800k of each.

Raid other players for it. You should be able to get 750k in an hour or two.
