Town hall destroyed before builders can run inside of it

Every time a new attack is initiated, builders immediately make a run for the Town hall. Most of the time they're able to make it in before the Town Hall is destroyed.

However, what happens to the villagers if the town hall is destroyed before builders can run in? Ie, if a townhall was left outside of the walls, and someone launches a group of lv 4 pekkas or a group of lv 5 wizards and takes out the townhall in 1-2 seconds?

Can anyone whose witnessed this, or a supercell staff member, confirm?

They pretend as if the TH were still there and disappear when they get "inside"

Now wouldn't it be interesting if destroying the town hall made their builders help yours for an hour or so? I bet you would see a lot fewer town halls outside if it lots you an hour of builder time.

I think it will create a giant black hole sucking in your entire village and all of your buildings, and will never be seen again.

Well since the only bathrooms in the entire village are in the town hall, the builders just have to hold it in until you log back on and rebuild the TH!
