Change Clan Name?

Hi everyone! This is my first post so bear with me. I have a feeling this might have already been said but i couldn't find a post about it.

Anyways, I have recently made a clan and i've discovered about 15-20 others with the same name. It is just my opinion that clan leaders should be able to change the name of the clan at any time. Because, even if you are the first clan with your name, more might pop up with the same one afterwards. I realize the advanced search helps, but only so much. Also, i know i could just start a new clan but I'm afraid i might lose the members i already have! i think it would be cool to be able to change it. Even if its only one time, same as you get a one time village name change. What do you think!?!?

First of, im against this idea for the simple reason of confusion. If you change the name of your clan while your clan is asleep then some of them might wake up and go "Wait, why am I in this clan?" They could leave, troll or stay and get the situation explained.

Secondly, how would changing the name happen? Would the clan get 1 name change, or the leader in charge of it? And if the leader were to go to make another clan, would they get another name change or would you only get 1 change?

Last but not least, is the option to change the name available to Co-Leaders, or is only an option for the leader? I could see a lot of trolling if it were available to all Co-Leaders.

A notification "Your clan's name has been changed" is sufficient. Easy fix.

Not sure where you're coming from with this, but obviously this would apply per clan. i.e, a clan can only get one name change in it's lifetime. Making it per person literally makes no sense.

You're right on this one, co-leaders should never gain such abilities. Therefore only available to the real owner of the clan.

I quite like this, it is like you said. Just like the name change for individual players, but for individual clans. Once per clan would also suffice. There's also benefits to this, you're giving the clan a chance to change its name from something that may be deemed offensive. Instead of Supercell being cheap and changing it to some bloody default name. Which is quite absurd to say the least.

I believe only once, now that we have clan tag people wouldn't be confused about it as much.

I think one name change would suffice. But I also think it should be only the responsibility of the leader, of course. I don't see why we shouldn't be able to change it if not multiple times. And a notification would solve the confusion problem. I believe this really needs to happen. Especially since we have recruitment threads online. people who want to join your clan need to be able to find it. And with the huge popularity of the game someone is bound to use the same name as you!

On the flip side, always search your clan name before making it. But, we all make mistakes. give us a second chance Supercell!

In friendly retort to your comment: If you woke up and your clan was a different name, I hope you wouldn't automatically assume you switched clans in your sleep... that's impossible.

As stated before, a notification for clan members using clan mail or chat, that pops up when you log on after the name change occurs, would suffice.

I can see that but i'm sure there are players in the clash world that would make that assumption.
