    Lightbulb Gem Mines 😃

    Can't you make a gem mine and these are the rules
    -Cost 1,000,000 elixir
    -5 gems an hour and only a total of 10 hours per day
    -works one day and then the other day it doesn't and so on
    -So it's 200 gems a week
    -Everytime the mine makes 50 gems you need to fill it with 50,000 elixir for the next time so it's 1,000 elixir per gem
    -When the mine is full it lights up green
    -you can pay a extra of 5,000 elixir per time it makes 50 so that attackers can destroy it but not take the gems
    -attackers only get 5% of the gems without what we can call "insurance"
    -town hall 7 and higher
    I know this idea has been out there but this is my version
    PLUS it's not ruled out

    The idea of a gem drill is on the sticky, but this is original enough I guess. Instead of having different times its functional, the production rate should just be lowered. It should cost 2m elixir and 100k to load, and maybe give 1 gem per hour and then one more per upgrade. This would keep "free" (they would cost elixir, not real $) gems low enough that people would still want to buy. Here's what I guess it could be like:

    Lvl1:
    2m elixir to build
    2d build time
    1 gem/hour
    500 hp
    5% can be stolen
    100,000 elixir to load, works for 24 hrs
    TH7

    Lvl2
    3m elixir to upgrade
    3d build time
    2 gems/hour
    550 hp
    5% can be stolen
    150,000 to load, works for 24 hrs
    TH7

    And so on...

    Each level holds however many it would make in 24 hrs, forcing you to collect every day if you want more. Every level costs 1m more, and takes 1d longer to build. Gets 50 more hp, 1 more gem per hour. 50,000 more elixir to load.

    I don't know why it's elixir. Elixir is already used for both gold mines and DE drills, so why not gold, or dark elixir? If it was DE I would change the prices accordingly.

    I'm sorry, giving the potential to raid for gems would be giving players the ability to steal money from me. If I were to buy 14000 gems at $110 US, that's $5.50 and 700 gems at 5% stolen. That would take weeks to recoop with either of your systems. And that is from a single raid. Add up the multitudes of raids in a given 24 hour period and that $5.50 becomes a major loss.

    Bottom line is that you would be giving a liscense to steal legally.

    Edit: To add to this, SC already gives away an average of 135 gems per month through the obsticals.

    They're not gem storages
    They cost elixir not gems to work read above

    I think the idea here is that you can only steal what is in the gem mine
