It's a decent base design you're running. And regardless of the means, 2200 DE is always a nice haul, and superior to what I won from you. You're welcome to it.

Out of curiosity do you typically farm with balloons/minions? I saw you had them up again this morning. Personally I think the sort of army I launched is a better one for farmers in terms of return per unit time and elixir, although assuming you farmed your current base you're doing pretty well regardless of the technique.
With apologies, I don't give out my Gamecenter ID or respond to PM solicitations to do base design critiques.

Hannibal, out of interest do you not build a different army composition over night for a different style of first battle?

Like most farmers I have my usual battle formation but really enjoy building something different over night for a bit of variety.

No. I'm aware many people do, but I don't for a few reasons. One is that I'm often unsure when my "last" raid of the night will really occur. It's not uncommon that I struggle to sleep and launch an additional raid or two. Another is that I've never liked the return on elixir from higher tier troops. While there are times (TH8, and more recently TH9 has become this way) that elixir becomes a useless resource, it's not currently useless to me at TH10. And even when it is, elixir starvation is sufficiently ingrained in me that I hate to waste it regardless.

    Yup that's my farming combo.

    12 balloons
    80 minions
takes half an hour to make

i spend 800 de per attack if i use a full army, but de has never been an issue for me since im farming 2000+ range where de loot is abundant.

against stronger bases like yours i normally readjust my troop composition to 16 balloons and 70 minions or 20 balloons and 60 minions but then again that would require longer build time and i normally do it only when im trophy pushing.

That's a very healthy attack log you're showing in your video. 30 mins isn't bad at all, although I'm uncertain what I think of the DE cost. I'd mostly given up on minions after deciding that well placed air mines (my own air mines are not currently well placed) are too hard a counter. But maybe I'll experiment with it again.

I totally agree with you that well place air bombs can wreck an army of minions. The balloons can do a really good job tanking while minions do their work. Only downside to this combo i see is Balloons are inherently very slow. Attacking a base with ADs deep in a middle of a base is tough even with rages.

Han, I'm currently using your old funneling base and I have a question. Is there a specific reason you're not using it anymore or is it because you're trophy pushing? May I add your GC ID? I'll PM you my ID. I joined The Bullies months ago to learn (not stalking lol) from you, but after the WB AI update you left. Since no regular guy can join Bonbee is a cat, I would be honored to add your GC ID. There are times when you make a slight change to your layout I would immediately ask myself, "Now why would Hannibal do that? There must be a reason." Then I'd analyze and do a cross check of unit's AI to your change. Some of the times it's enlightening and I learned something from you and sometimes I have no idea why LOL.

    R.I.P you.

like to see how you go against his base
today on the nature channel: DE zappers.
these common creatures are found from trophy ranges 800-1500. They are a cowardly bunch, and often don't even attack your usually superior base; preferring to simply lightning your DE. Often, this does not pay off, as the attackers usually become the attacked. And are killed. This is why, above 1500 trophies, you will find few zappers. Thank you.
