This Update Make Me to Quit the Game. If Supercell is updating this game they should have done on giving new feature not degrading Existing one. So people who started this game ahead of us had more advantage than us and New starters should suffer. I am having TH7 and i need Dark Elixer for barbarian king update and dark troop research for that i need more dark Elixer only way like people for me is take loot is by Lightning Spell As every one know people who has more Dark loot are TH8 and TH9 only way to take loot is spell. If the S**t update is annoying. One Good Thing is i am going to stop this game and move to Kaabm Dragon Of Atlantis. Which is Any day better then this CoC. Guys If you have same Problem like me Support Me.

People who started the game ahead of you had no De drill at TH7... I'm one of those, and I'm now a TH10 with maxed heroes, and I NEVER used any lightning on storage for getting there... Learn how to radi instead of relying on stupid zeus attack. An attack style noone can counter in a strategy game was simply stupid so it was really time to kill those.

I thought a bit on how trophies work, and I suspect there is an inherent flaw with the legends league and how it's implemented.

Basically, trophies are a sum-zero game; whenever a player wins he gets some trophies and the player that lost loses the exact same amount. So basically there is a big total trophy pool with the trophies changing hands. The pool grows over time as players join the game and add their initial trophies to the pool. As a result you can see that the leagues have changed, and if it was very hard to get 4000 trophies in the past, now there are many players who got that amount, and now 5000 is the difficult limit.

And now comes the update... and in the update any player who passes 5000 will reset to 5000, losing all trophies above that level. My guess is that intention of that is to bring top players back to a baseline level and create more opportunities for players to find matches.

I think that this mechanism overlooked the way the trophy pool functions. So now when the league will end the trophy pool will SHRINK, losing all the trophies that were above 5000. Over time, this will make it increasingly difficult for players to reach higher trophy counts, and hence will make it harder to find matches in the top levels... effectively achieving the opposite of the intended purpose of this mechanism...

Oh I love some macro talk! I think you point is a good one, throwing away trophies will indeed dampen the average trophy level of The CoC community. I think, however, this is going to have a really small effect.

Purely eyeballing the skewed distribution graph on the SC Announcement, I'm guessing the average trophy level is in the 900-1000 range. Say times 1,000,000 players. That would be 1 billion trophies. Seems like whatever number of trophies are removed, it will be a very tiny percentage. But it will indeed erode over time.

Maybe it was just bad luck but the Valkyrie AI seems messed up. After the update, and of course the reply is gone, my first war attack was GoVaHo and the Valks made into the a big open core - both Xbows, 3 Telsas, the CC the TownHall etc... - as soon as they destroy the first target they then turned around and attacked the wall to get at storage outside of the core. Of course the XBows continue to pound away and before long they where dead. I had never had that problem before open ground with targets was always picked first.

Just thought I mention it, perhaps others will report if they see this also.

COC if you are doing update it should be neutral because of this lightning spell functionality changed its totally annoying me older player those who used this feature can enjoy when they are beginner and the upcoming beginner should suffer. FK you

Thanks for this post. I lol'd my coffee all over my desk. Funniest of the noobs who have complained. Still chuckling.

On a serious note though practice Gibarch a bit. I didn't even get a drill at th7 and had my king maxed before I went to Th8. Zapping (and in all honesty I did do it sometimes too) is a terrible way to get DE cos you rely on it too much and don't learn to attack.

We have been searching since the update finished 24h ago.
Somebody must have screwed up the war search engine.
We've restarted the search several times but with no success at all.
Does anybody have any advice? !

My first guess is everybody is busy building new defenses, redesigning bases to fit things, and figuring out new spells and AI a bit before heading out to war again? k, well, not everybody, but a lot, perhaps. Maybe wait a few days?

Chat cursor doesnt move, and you can only see the start of whatever you are writing.

Whilst raiding, clicked archers and it highlighted lightning spell one time and barbs the other. Possible that my phone did this.
