So far it seems to be a pretty good update.
Like:
-The new look
-The new army overview
-Spell factory update is nice especially the reduced spell time. I'm not sure why people are complaining that they can't see the spells they have. All they did was make the spell factory function like barracks and I like that they did. Now you can overmake spells and If you want to know what spells you have you very easily and conveniently switch to the army overview tab and see what you have just like barracks. Barracks never told you what you have. You had to go to the army camps to check what you have.
-Lvl 5 dragons and lvl 4 dragons accessible at TH9(not that I'll get to check them out since I'm not there yet)
-Reduced dragon cost and possible others not sure but for sure dragons.
-The new leagues. I'm hoping that will make masters and champion more accessible to more people other than the elite people for that loot bonus since I'm sure that is what the leagues is intended to be for.
Don't like:
-Increased cost for BARCH. Don't know the logic behind it. I hope SC isn't trying to force us to use other troops for gathering resources since using anything but the BARCH is very inefficient for elixir farming.
-I very much dislike that storages aren't affected hardly at all from spells. It does not make sense to do that and the only people happy about it are those that currently have a good amount of DE and don't want it taken away but guess what, this is what the game is all about. You attack others to gain resources and others can attack you for the same. Don't understand why storages have to be treated differently than other buildings and why it would be frowned upon to use lighting spells on storages. Hey it happens to me and I do it to others. I hope SC reverses this change as it is rather ridiculous. Storages already have the most HP, no need to make them indestructible. And yes I know they still take regular damage from troops but being protected from spells is ridiculous. I believe they did it because of the new poison spell and if that's the case then make the poison spell not work on storages and spells from spell factory work the same pre-update... but with the shorter timer.
Other notes: Not sure what's going on with wall breakers as I haven't gotten a change to use them after this new update but I didn't see a problem with them before and I guess it doesn't matter now since they are reverting WB to pre-update. Before though, they would favor joints in walls so if a wall is aligned in a perpendicular way then the WB would go for that from my experience. if not then corners and then straight. Someone suggested that WB go straight? If you mean you drop 1 or 2 WB and then after they break a wall then you drop 2 more and they run through the whole in the wall... then I have to disagree since it just makes it easy for those that fail to understand how WB work. If you send a handful of WB then you'll see they already run straight for the most part unless if there's a joint in the wall nearby. One time I sent a lot of WB and they literally made it past the last perimeter and started running past the TH to get to the wall straight ahead instead of turning and it was a good size perimeter enclosing the TH and some other buildings. As for the war finder, I guess I was the lucky few to find the match same time as usual but SC already acknowledged a bug and that a fix is on a way so that's good.
Other than that I am enjoying the update.
