Need a really good way to farm DE as a TH7!

I don't mean this in a harmful way, but this is the flawed part of your logic. There is no set amount of how many of each you should have. The jobs of each troop is clear:

Giants: Distract, tank, and destroy a couple defenses.
Barbs: Main force. Stronger than archers, melee style attacker. Best used in swarms.
Archers: Main force. Probably your only power to destroy CC and any outside building. Weak, minion-type. Best used in swarms with some type of tank guarding them.
Wall breakers: Break walls. Self explanatory. Get inside the base.

Just keep 1 barrack full of giants.
1 barrack of barbs.
1 barrack of archers.
1 barrack with ~8 wall breakers and then the rest archers. When you fully deplete your army, delete those archers, add 8 more wall breakers and fill with archers again.

If you want you can take giants in CC and that leaves room for more barbs and archers.
If your clan can spare you lvl 6+ giants, I'd say just do 2 barracks each of barbs and archers. Throw 3 wall breakers in front of each barb barrack. Makes the process faster.

Spells... Due to the new update, zapping is now useless. However I would still bring 1 of each spell. You never know when you need to zap a collector. Rage and heal should be used somewhere along the same area. It's just to drive troops in.

P.S., if you can afford mass drag raids, do that. 3 rage. It helps ESPECIALLY when you find th8's with a lot of DE deep in the core of them. Lvl 1 drags might be able to do the job, but lvl 2 can easily breach the core with a good funnel.

Mass dragons, triple lightning the AD in front of the DE storage and there's nothing from stopping you from getting it all. Rage wouldn't be a good idea.

move up to crystal league, lots more DE up there in my experience plus the loot bonus helps. I did that for a while and got my BK from 1-4 but then dropped down to farm elixir, will go back when its time to lab my dark troops.

This is a nice quick way to farm DE. I suggest you use it

To be completely honest don't worry about it, hall 8 it becomes a lot it easier to farm for DE, get into crystal and go, (who knows with new leagues coming). But seriosuly hall 8 worry about get a few minor De upgrades done, obi get your king.
