    Clan war - Ready For action feature?

    Forgive me if this has been suggested before but I have done a search and read through dismissed ideas and can't see anything regarding this.

    My idea is to have the ability to 'Ready up' your clan during the 24 hour preparation day period. ie, once you feel you have prepared for war, you can mark a box that says 'Hey, we are ready for war to start'. Once both clans have decided they are ready for war, the war would start. Obviously if both parties did not do this, the standard 24 hours would take place.

    Many of the people in my clan only play the game for the war aspect and all attack as soon as war starts. We then have to wait almost 48hours to do another attack. The ability to cut down this time would be awesome.

    It would also be a nice touch if war ended once both teams have used all attacks, or similarly be able to declare or forfeit the war.

    What does everyone think?

    This is frequently requested and I don't agree all that much. It would speed up clan XP gain too much, thus making the game quicker and less enjoyable.

    I thought this was a great idea until i read his response, it would actually be quicker with clan xp so clans would be upgrading sooner than they should.

    Whilst I see where you are coming from regarding speeding up the game progress, I would disagree regarding making it less enjoyable. Surely waiting around for 48 hours makes the game 'less enjoyable' more so than reaching a high level clan status quicker? I'm sure the reason people participate in clan wars isn't solely to become a level 10 clan? I would hazard a guess that a lot of serious war players would agree. Nothing makes a game less enjoyable than sitting and waiting.

    Am I the only one who thinks 48 hours is a short period for an entire war.

    While I can see your point, you also have to take into account time zones, and also in my opinion it makes it more exciting to plan, discuss strategy, and wait.

    But at the same time, my point remains; it would grant too much clan XP.

    Just to prove I'm not purely an idea basher, perhaps the overall war can still remain 48 hours, but leaders can agree to end the preparation day sooner, making the battle day longer? For example, both leaders agree to start battle day at 12H on preparation day, the battle day would then become 12H longer to make up.

    All the same, I don't think wars should be able to decrease from 48 total hours.
