The merge would be irrevocable.
The clan XP of clan B gets added to the clan XP of clan A (a nice incentive to receive a merge request).
I guess that the clan-merge history of a clan needs to be preserved and available, so that everyone knows if Clan A is in the business of subsuming gullible clans and then tossing its membership.
I think this would be really useful for small clans who realise that they are not really viable, but have invested time in their clan and have Clan XP.

His idea is more of switching one by one my idea is the whole clan switching into another as long as all of them can fit into the others clan
That is a great thread, but it doesn't include the concept of merging. AnthonyVince's thread is a matter for a superclan. This merging idea is for kids in baby clans.
Tom leads a clan of 15. James leads a clan of 12. Both clans have a little bit of clan XP, maybe they are level 3. Neither Tom nor James wants to abandon their clan and loyal friends, but Tom and James are friends and would like to merge their clans. Why not facilitate this.
Playing with kids, I do see that there are too many low level little clans with poor leadership. Why not facilitate merging.
I also think that it is too easy to start an empty clan. Maybe they should cost more? Maybe they should cost gems?
